As part of the U.S. Government's continuing efforts to facilitate travel between the United States and its Caribbean partners, improve customer service during the epidemic, and streamline the visa renewal process, the U.S. Embassy is pleased to announce that effective February 8, 2021, eligible citizens of Dominica will no longer be required to have an interview to renew their visas. Dominica's passport holders whose visas expired within the last two years and who are applying for the same visa category as the previous visa are eligible for issuance of a new visa and waiver of the interview.
While this offer is not open to naturalized Dominican citizens for the time being, most local citizens are already able to return to the U.S. to work, and there are many strategic benefits to Dominica as a second tier of status, which works well for the security of identity and assets.
