St. Kitts passport program under extreme pressure as government fails to function properly
Dismissal of the Deputy Prime Minister, no-confidence motion against the Prime Minister, dissolution of Parliament, dismissal of several Government ministers, including the Minister for Foreign Affairs
On May 11, 2022, the Prime Minister of St. Kitts and Nevis, Timothy Harris, fired six government ministers, including the Minister for Foreign Affairs, and asked the Governor General to dissolve Parliament and remove Deputy Prime Minister Shawn Richards from office. The Prime Minister stated that the present situation could not continue and that the people of St. Kitts and Nevis certainly deserved better. But the fact remains that Dr. Timothy Harris will become the first Prime Minister in the history of St. Kitts and Nevis to be subjected to a motion of no confidence and to fail, after losing the support of 73 per cent of elected members of Parliament last month and failing completely in the no-confidence motion, and consequently requesting the Governor General to dissolve Parliament.
The oldest immigration program, but the most unstable.

Seven heads of government, including the Foreign Minister, were fired
Leader of the St. Kitts and Nevis Civic Movement, Mark Brantley, has condemned the Prime Minister's decision to suspend six Members of Parliament (MPs), including his own dismissal from the post of Foreign Affairs Minister.
Brantley said it was the first time in his life that he had been "sacked" and that "I would have laughed if it hadn't been so serious". He said he was not sacked for poor performance as many local and regional areas had said his performance as Foreign Minister had been excellent. Brantley said he and five other elected MPs were fired for supporting the country and its people. The beloved country with 11 elected members, voted for by the people of St. Kitts and Nevis, is now down to five members (as the Prime Minister suspended six). In condemning the Prime Minister, Prime Minister Harris, Brantley said, "It must be overwhelmingly ironic that a man who has lost his legitimacy as Prime Minister and the support of the elected members of the 73% is now claiming to fire the elected members that the people voted for." The current rulers are and will remain more than just aGreed and insatiable appetite for power and self-expansion," Brantley said. Incumbent Prime Minister Timothy Harris faces aHis own seat is in jeopardy, his chances of reelection are slim, and the government is shut down.and other issues.
OUTSIDE QUESTION: Breaking diplomatic ties with Taiwan in the works...?
Nicaragua
On Friday, December 10, 2021, the Central American nation of Nicaragua announced that it had severed diplomatic relations with Taipei in favor of recognizing Beijing. This change in diplomatic relations comes just one month after Nicaraguan President Daniel Ortega was elected to a second term. Despite U.S. criticism that Ortega was not properly elected and does not represent the will of the Nicaraguan people, Nicaraguan Foreign Minister Denis Moncada issued a statement saying that the People's Republic of China is "the sole legitimate government representing the entire Chinese people" and that Taiwan is an "inalienable territory of China". "an inalienable territory of China". Beijing soon announced that the two countries had signed a joint communiqué in Tianjin on the restoration of diplomatic relations.
Solomon (name)
Following the decision of the South Pacific island nation of Solomon Islands to sever diplomatic relations with Taiwan and establish diplomatic relations with China on September 16, Taiwan's Foreign Minister Wu Chiu-sieh announced that Taiwan had severed diplomatic relations with the Solomon Islands with immediate effect, and that it would completely cease bilateral cooperation, as well as close its embassies and recall relevant personnel. Sources said a Solomon Islands team that traveled to Beijing in August had agreed with Chinese Foreign Minister Wang Yi on $500 million in financial assistance, promising to complete the diplomatic process as soon as possible before October 1st. China will also form a medical support mission and an agricultural technology mission to Solomon Islands, modeled on Taiwan's assistance.
Saint Kitts and Nevis
The Prime Minister of St. Kitts has lost his absolute majority in Parliament and has resorted to dissolving Parliament, dismissing the Deputy Prime Minister, firing the Foreign Minister, and firing several other ministers in order to retain his position. Although, similar to Nicaragua and Solomon's in the past, with the change of Foreign Minister and a new Prime Minister, and with speculation as to whether or not there are foreign forces involved, the political turmoil that is being witnessed is clearly a result of the rivalry between the two political parties on the island and the violent reaction of the Prime Minister himself, Timothy Harris, to his inability to gain the support of a majority of the voters. Prime Minister Timothy Harris' own inability to win the support of a majority of the electorate has been a violent reaction. There has been no news of any break in diplomatic relations between St. Kitts and the Republic of China. The
