On July 28th Ghana and Dominica signed a visa waiver agreement.
The Republic of Ghana and the Commonwealth of Dominica have signed an agreement to waive visa requirements between the two countries. The historic agreement was signed in New York on June 28 by H. E. Harold Adlai Agyeman, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Ghana to the United Nations, and H. E. Loreen Bennis-Roberts, Ambassador and Permanent Representative of Dominica.
The new visa waiver agreement is intended to help increase travel between the two countries and facilitate travel between government officials and business executives. The move is expected to boost tourism and help strengthen the growing diaspora relationship between the two Commonwealth countries. Dominica's Passport, Global Reach and Accessibility
Dominica's new passport has biometric features and officials say the new passport is highly secure and will protect passport holders from identity theft. According to Dominica's Minister of National Security and Home Affairs, Rayburn Blackmoore, Dominica's passport will have pivotal global reach and convenience. He added that the new e-passport book was designed by Bank of Canada Notes (CBN), a Canadian company. Minister of Tourism Denise Charles said at the launch, "The e-passport should speed up the immigration checking process and enable immigration officers to quickly authenticate travel, providing identity theft and fraud protection in the first place."
PM Skerrit: Dominica passport to add 20% to 25% visa-free countries on arrival
