The world is more open
The world has been greatly opened in the past decade. According to Armand, the president of the Passport Indicator Open Platform, 54% of our world countries are actually open in 2019, and they are growing every year, with an average annual growth rate of 4%. If this number is used, countries around the world can travel freely by 2035.
Maintain the top five passports
Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Italy, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Sweden and the United Kingdom have been among the top five most influential passports in the past decade. In recent years, including Japan and Singapore have also joined this position. All EU countries in this ranking have always maintained a strong passport-free visa, consistently and freely staying in the top five countries. However, although the UK topped the list in 2010, it has fallen to fifth place by 2019, with Canada and New Zealand and five other European countries. But no one knows whether the ranking will be higher or lower after Brexit. Under the leadership of the Trump administration, the US passport has received little attention. Despite Trump's "Make America Great Again" promise, the visa-free advantage of US passports is no longer as good as that of EU countries.
The rise of the weak
Many countries have realized the importance of their passport function. With the mission of improving diplomatic relations with other countries and increasing citizens’ better passport access, the following countries have successfully defeated barriers between countries during the entire decade, proving that the barriers to breaking and borders are broken, and will Passport accessibility has greatly increased, providing citizens with freedom and opportunity. Ukraine’s passport ranks third, with 69 visa-free countries awarded in 2019. Despite the political turmoil in recent months, the ranking of Taiwan and the Republic of China (ROC) has abnormally increased by 143%, and a total of 79 visa exemption destinations have been added between 2010 and 2019, ranking second!
First place: 179 passport-free countries in the United Arab Emirates

Not only have these countries demonstrated progress over the past decade, but they have successfully escaped from the bottom tenth place in the past decade. Including Angola, Burundi, Comoros Islands, Djibouti and Equatorial Guinea.
Passport that fell to the bottom
The Syrian war made the Syrian passport one of the weakest passports in the world, ranking third from the bottom (only 40 countries are exempt from visas). In 2010, the Syrian passport did not even count down 10. According to the open platform for passport indicators, this is an important message that conveys the correlation between a country’s economic and political conditions and its passport strength. In Yemen, the Palestinian territories and Libya once again appear on the list of "last 10".
At the bottom, the minimum number of passport-free visa-free countries that cannot be turned over is 35
